As I type this post, I am enjoying a delicious glass of wine while I have Lena Horne, Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Glenn Miller and many more playing in the background. What a nice ending to this day. I’ve gotten up and danced around, snapped my fingers, and just enjoyed the music. You see, music is my happy place. I love music. Music has been there for me like no other. And I’m not a one style of music type of girl. I listen to so many varieties and they just make my heart happy. I am always thankful to God for music! Now for you, music may not be your happy place. So ask yourself, what is?
With the challenges every day brings, you have to hold on to the happy. Not the “happy” that you feel for a moment, but the happy that is a continual joy stream. For some, it could be exercising, cooking, cleaning, makeup…whatever, but it brings a continual joy. And guess what? No one can be your happy. Your happiness is with you. Something someone does or says may bring you happiness but at the end of every single day, you have to be happy for yourself.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.~Romans 15:13
Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy.~Psalm 47:1
Now like I’ve said already, music is my happy place…but it’s not my happiest place. My happiest place is with Jesus. Every second of every day, I know that He is with me. He lives inside of me. He feels my hurts, joys, highs, lows…my everything. He knows my saddest of sad, and lifts me up higher than I could ever imagine. He is a love like no other, and I can’t help but be happy about that.
I’m not selfish, that’s why I am sharing my happiest of places with you. The love of Jesus. And with that love comes a life of abundance. The abundance He has just for you. So walk and be happy with Him, even on some sad times, because His continual happy is so BIG that it will cover that sadness and bring you out Happier than ever.
Smile and be a blessing!
If you don’t know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, say this prayer:
Jesus, thank you! I believe that you came, died and rose again so that I may live. I ask you to forgive me and to come live inside of me. I confess that you are Lord. In Jesus name, Amen!
You are saved!
