A simple question: “Can you turn the light on so I can see?” This is the question I asked my son. I was extremely sad at that moment and just wanted to read my Bible and pray but I needed the light on so I could see the words. As soon as I said those words, I had a clear reminder of God’s promises.
God’s light is always on so that I can see. He knows when moments of darkness will try to block the light, but He is still shining it for me to see. It was shining already because my heart was gravitating towards talking to Him, reading His Word, and letting His love come over me in my moment of sadness.
You, Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light.
Your Word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. ~Psalm 119:105
He will not let your foot slip-He who watches over you will not slumber;
Be encouraged today as you turn only to the Father. Know that He will direct your steps on His lighted path. Don’t be worried as you take those steps, but be filled with His peace and expectancy.
Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.
Smile and be a blessing!
If you don’t have a personal relationship with Jesus, I encourage you to take the step and say this prayer:
Jesus, I ask you to forgive me of all my sins. I believe that came, and died on the cross for me. Come into my heart, cleanse me, make me new, and live in me. Amen!
You are saved!
