When you’ve gone through the fire and you’ve come out, it was a time to rejoice! You felt empowered! You were a conquer! You could now face anything and know that no matter what you’d come out rejoicing, empowered a conquer and stronger…but you’d still have to go through the fire to get there. Haven’t you been through enough? Why more getting burned and scarred?
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
I didn’t always want to walk with this scripture. Meaning, I didn’t want to speak it into my life. It was difficult for me to let the words come out of my mouth, and to believe and trust it but once I did I felt empowered. I felt like I had strength to push through and keep pressing toward my goal, my purpose…even when I didn’t quite know what my purpose was, and once I did, speaking that scripture and the following scripture gave me more confidence.
Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. ~Philippians 3:12-14
I’m running my race, even when I get really tired and weak and just want to quit. I have to continue to speak life, which is God’s Word and His promises for me. You have the strength of the Holy Spirit in you to run your race and to keep pressing forward.
I pray that today, your heart is encouraged. You are not alone. God is with you. I am praying for you.
I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. ~Philippians 4:13
Smile and be a blessing.
If you don’t know Jesus as your Savior, say this prayer: Jesus, I believe that you came, died and rose again. I confess with my mouth that you are Lord and I ask you to forgive me of my sins. Cleanse me, make me new and live in me. Amen!
You are saved!
