God’s love is true love….

God’s love is an everlasting, flowing fountain. Its flow just can’t be stopped no matter how hard we may try to turn the knob off. And why would we want to turn it off? I mean, don’t we all long for unconditional love? For peace, grace, hope, and joy that flows from love? In the world we live in, it seems like that kind of love is a myth. It seems that it can’t be obtained because we see so much hate, and so much “fake” love, that we don’t believe that we can have someone love us truly just for who we are and where we are in our life. God’s love is not like the love we see that people will twist and use for their own selfish gain. His love is rich and flowing and just waiting to be received.

It (love) always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
~1 Corinthians 13:7

Now, this might be a foreign topic for someone reading this. You are still like, Nikita, you are pulling my leg. But I promise you that I’m not. I am a walking, breathing testimony of this real love from God. I have been through so much in my thirty-three years of life. I have been rejected by many that should have loved me, said they loved me, and that took advantage of me. I thought perhaps, I just wasn’t lovable. I wasn’t good enough. I wasn’t pretty enough. Smart enough. Anything enough. I didn’t even believe truly that God loved me enough, even though I had heard many people say that He did. If He did then why did no one else seem to see what He saw in me?

Well, it starts with me seeking that TRUE LOVE. And once I seek that love, I have to believe in that true love. And then I have to let that true love fill me up! And then I have to share that true love with others. You see, when Jesus died it wasn’t just for me, it was everyone. But the beauty of His love and grace is that He has an overabundance for all of us. He wants all of us to know that we are each special to Him. He doesn’t force His love on us, but He shows it each day.

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how
God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world
that we might live through Him. This is love: not that we loved God, but
that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
~ 1 John 4:8-10

I see many people when I go places and I see a lot of hurt. I see sad faces that just need a smile from someone. They want so much to have that love. I was one of them. I wanted it so bad, but I pushed it away because I didn’t think it to be for me. I mean, how could it be? Nobody wanted me in my eyes. I was so hurt, I couldn’t even believe that I was truly wanted even by the people closest to me. The day I truly said, yes to the love of Jesus, then my eyes were opened to all the love that was true. I could see the love of Jesus in others, and I could see the love I needed to share with others. It’s amazing how true love is always right there, never leaving your side.

I pray that you are encouraged today, and that you know that you are beautiful and wonderful and loved not only by the true love of Jesus Christ but that you are loved by many, myself included. I am praying for you and believing for your life to be full of that love. If you don’t know Jesus as your Lord and Savior and you want to know that true love today, just say this prayer:

I believe in my heart that you died on the cross and rose again. I confess with my mouth that you are the Lord Jesus and that I am saved. I accept your love today. In Jesus name, Amen.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever
believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. ~ John 3:16

Be encouraged.

Smile and be a blessing!

~Nikita
