As I type this, I am sitting in the waiting room while my son is under anesthesia, having an MRI. I knew today was coming, and I am prayed up…but seeing his little body go limp made my heart ache! As I walked down the hall to the waiting room, I just prayed even more. Then I sat down and pulled out my Word to study. I couldn’t let my mind even think it was going to worry! No worries, just the Word.
Matthew 6:33-34 (NIV):
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
There are so many people that may feel their situation is special enough that they can worry. It’s not. It might seem like, just this once can I worry? Nope you can’t. God has everything in His plan. He gives you everything you need to stand firm, and to keep your faith strong. How can this be? Study the Word and apply it. Tests come, whether great big long ones, or little ones.
2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV):
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
I pray today, that you won’t worry, and when you feel it trying to creep in, press in to God even more. The more you press in, the stronger you will be. Your worry will turn into worship, thankfulness, joy and happiness. God has you!
Smile and be a blessing!
