Each day seems to come and go so quickly these days. You blink and another week has gone by. Wasn’t it just January and now it’s October? When wondering where has the time gone, have you also wondered what did I do with it? Who did I share it with? Have you figured out what truly matters?
I’m writing this and looking at my sleeping toddler. He didn’t want to take his nap, which is nothing new, but I knew he needed it. I decided to sing to him. First I sung, you are my sunshine. And then I sung, Jesus loves me. He fell asleep during the second song. I’m hoping it wasn’t because he just didn’t want to hear my singing voice any longer, lol. As I was singing the second song, I thought of what truly matters: love. And more importantly living a life of love.
Jesus loves us. He wants us to love others, even those who have done all manner of wrong. And we need to love ourselves! Loving yourself for some can be difficult. I encourage you to seek God. He will show you why you are so wonderful and loveable. He will also show you how much he loves you. He gave his Son for you and continues to bless you every day. Spread His love.
Spend time with others. And not because you have to but because you want to. When you live a life of love, you won’t think twice about spending time with friends, family or strangers (they need love too).
Be encouraged. And if no one has told you, let me be the first: I LOVE YOU.
Smile and be a blessing!
