How often are you all pumped up, focused and ready to get going and then all of a sudden, without notice, anxiety decides to try and take over? Your heart starts to feel heavy and beat way to fast. You start to think WAY too much and then start talking yourself out of whatever you were being told to do? Why the heck do you do this? I mean, if God is leading you to do it, then how can you talk yourself out of it? Well it’s simple (but seems so complicated), it’s your flesh. You start thinking this is so not going to work because I’m not good enough, I don’t have the qualifications to pull this off, and it’s going to fail anyway so why bother trying for it in the first place?
Well, if God began a good work in you, then he is going to see it through until it’s completion (Philippians 1:6). Our fears are always going to come up, but our faith is so strong that it will rip through those fears immediately. Speak Jesus name over every fear that comes up. You are on his mission for your life.
You may be at work, and a project is brought to you. You have no idea what to do, but you are being told to do it. Well, remember that everything you do should be done for his glory (Colossians 3:23-24) and although you may not understand what to do, you need to lean to his understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). When you do it for him and lean on His understanding, he will guide you! His guidance can lead to you talking to someone at your job that can help you on your project, it can lead you to researching the right thing, and meeting your deadline. But it all starts with seeking him and not relying on yourself. These principles work for every area of your life. You can be having problems in your marriage, with your kids, your finances, on deciding whether to eat that cupcake or not. It doesn’t matter how big or small the situation is, we still need to seek him for his guidance. And guess what, after a while, some situations you may know what to do already because it’s in your heart now what you should do, and all you have to do is thank him for his wisdom in your heart for the situation.
Don’t be overcome by the things that come up in this world. Be confident and bold in what God has placed on your heart to do. And remember, you are not alone!
Be encouraged. Smile and be a blessing!
