Tired on a Sunday morning….

This morning I was awaken by Leo. Oh there is nothing like the smell of fresh doggy breath in your face as you wake up. His tail was just a wagging since he was thrilled that I was swinging my feet over the side of the bed so that I could take him out. The simple joy from my pup. The best thing was that my husband was coming through the front door from work at the same time! Yay, I can lay back down for a few minutes….not! It’s Sunday morning and I really want to head to church, The Life Church. A new series is starting this morning, fall retreat early registration starts (yay young people), and I have missed a lot of Sundays due to health and being out of town. So although I’m exhausted from yesterday (fun at the fair with FOUR twelve year old girls), I’m going, because today is today!

Anywho if you are happening to read this and are on the fence of streaming online because you are tired, or you could just not want to go, I encourage you to get on up and go. There is a word for you this morning, and a smile waiting for you from someone, and a blessing from you to someone awaits, but you have to get on up to give that blessing and to receive a blessing. If you are in the Memphis area, come on out to The Life Church (we have several locations) and we’d be so glad to have you. Now if you really can’t get up and go to church, thank God for online streaming! Many churches provide that service (hey, it’s 2015) and my church is one of them 🙂

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 1:28-30

Be encouraged.

Smile and be a blessing
