The first step is moving one foot…

Do you ever get the bubbles in your stomach…no not those bubbles that you may be thinking of :-). I’m talking about the nervous bubbles. The ones that tend to blow up when you are stepping into the unfamiliar? See, you’re not alone! The scripture is SO true:

Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen

~ 1 Peter 5:9-11

I woke up this morning, knowing that I’d be writing my first blog. My daughter was safely off to school. My son was enjoying breakfast and watching cartoons with his dad. I made my coffee, grabbed my tools, and looked at the screen….and prayed! I truly believe in praying about everything…especially about what God wants me to say. So, when those pesky bubbles came, I said, “God I’m nervous and need confidence!” I mean, here I am stepping out on faith as instructed, and I get the bubbles?! And my awesome, sweet, funny God lead me to this:

In God I have put my trust, I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? ~Psalm 56:11

The funny thing is, I was nervous about stepping out into the unknown, but I have the one that knows the unknown guiding me! And He so sweetly reminded me that He will see me through! Be encouraged today, for He is with you, bubbles and all 🙂 Just move that first foot and watch Him see you through.

Smile and be a blessing!
